HURIC, Hosei University Research Institute, California, was founded on August 1st, 2000, by Hosei University, one of the most prestigious Universities in Japan, in commemoration of its 120th anniversary. The mission of HURIC is twofold. On the one hand, our goal is to offer practical educational opportunities to young Japanese students living in the Bay Area, the high-tech capital of the world. And on the other hand, our aim is to pursue technological research into areas that will benefit human society in 21st century, especially the fields of Information technology. Researches are done on a project basis.

About Hosei University
Hosei University was founded in Japan in 1880 as Tokyo School of Law. At that time Japan was undergoing rapid modernization.
